Our New Logo

We are proud to introduce our new logo, The Blue Nightingale.

Here is the story behind our Blue Nightingale:

Florence Nightingale was the British nurse who is considered to be the founder of modern nursing. Many physicians and medical historians believe she developed Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) as a result of chronic brucellosis infection. She spent the rest of her life bedbound.

Despite being bedbound, Nightingale continued working to advance the nursing profession and lobbying for regulatory changes to hospitals.

Her birthday was chosen to be the International ME Awareness Day. The colour blue was selected for the ME awareness colour.

The bird Nightingale is the sound bird of the night and we symbolise it by singing the song of hope when things seem darkest.

It is our aspiration that ME Group Australia provide as same hope to people with ME as the Nightingale sings in the dark. We also envisage the logo will convey a clear representation of our purpose and values to future supporters and collaborators.

The Blue Nightingale is our spirit. We are building the strategy so that we can effectively turn our vision into reality. Out first goal is loud and clear, the ME Clinic.

There is not much I can share with you at this stage. However, I am excited to witness the clear vision and strategy for ME Group Australia is being formed. It certainly makes me hopeful.
